"West Coast rapper/producer Alexander Spit joins MC Nocando & Jeff Weiss this week to discuss Psychedelic Rap. They’ll get into the roots of Psychedelic music, what is considered Psychedelic Rap, and which rappers were influenced through the use of Psychedelics. Plus, the guys talk about the first time they got high, burning out on Psychedelics, and bad smelling hippies."

Rappers discussed include: Esham, Redman, Edan, Pharcyde, Eminem, Xzibit, Underachievers, Chance, Etc. (Etc. was a rapper on Landspeed during the late 90s underground boom. Maybe). I didn't get to tell my story about the time I tripped in San Francisco and almost got killed by a psychotic cabdriver --then went home and thought I saw God while listening to Alice Coltrane. But sometimes you have to keep something in the chamber.

MP3 and some of Spit's music below the jump. If you're unfamiliar, I previously covered him in my Bizarre Ride column.
