Sky Hooks & Swing: Karriem Riggins does the Stones Throw Podcast

Max Bell produced that turkey sandwich.
You’re in your ride. It’s late. The bar was dead and the beautiful babies didn’t know you were fucking money (I'm sorry. I’ve been on a Swingers bender). So it’s time to throw on jazz drummer/hip-hop producer Karriem Riggins new mix—the fittingly titled "Karriem Riggins Produced That"—as you try to keep all four inside the white lines.
Without knowing it -- obviously, I’m not a huge fan of linear notes -- Karriem has been a produced on some of my favorite hip-hop albums/tracks in the last few (relatively) years—Common’s Like Water for Chocolate and Be, as well as parts of Erykah Badu’s New Amerykah projects. And that's the short list.
Seeing that Karriem mixed the fifty-minute jewel, everything is pretty seamless. So, really, there’s nothing really new here. Stones Throw continues to release wonderful material gratis via their Itunes Podcast series. The guys over there were even nice enough to include a direct MP3 link for those of y’all who want to bump Phat Kat, Dilla, and Slum Village in your Zune.
