Son Raw - J'Aime Le Dubstep 138

Once again it's on. The fine folks at J'Aime Le Dubstep have seen fit to release my newest studio mix (my first one in a minute actually) and it's a scorcher if I do say so myself. Going by vibe rather by genre, I went with a selection of classic and brand new tracks this go around with an emphasis on break beats, 808s, ragga/rap/R&B vocals and evil, sub-lo bass. With so much of the Bass world either softening up or going completely heavy metal, I wanted tunes that had that original dread vibe without getting stuck in "Deep Dubstep" nostalgia and I think the overall result works best as a snapshot of where I am now and the overall aesthetic I favor as a DJ. Grab it, play it, share it and while you're at it, check out the previous entry in the series by the homie Hissy Fit. Concentrating on the undervalued mid aughts breaks scene, it's an entry as dope as it is educational.
