Spaceships "Ghost" from Spaceships on Vimeo.

For their first video from their impressively chill debut LP, Cool Breeze over the Mountains, Spaceships confront the very serious question of what happens when a man with a mustache crashes your couch party on some Echo Park stairs and takes you on an intergalactic journey. This is a tough subject that has been grappled with by many transplants to the eastside. Do you buy the ticket and take the ride and if so, how much wax will it take to keep that thing afloat? It must cost a fortune.

If you like Douglas Martin music, you will like Spaceships. In fact, Douglas Martin concurs. They make hooky hard-edged noise pop and wear homemade shirts that riff on Wyld Stallyns. They also have a very interesting story that involves their short-lived enrollment at Boulder's Naropa University, witches, and a "talking stick." You can stream their album below the jump and put it in your cauldron when you see fit. Man cannot live on blue dream and lean alone.
